We’re in the room too.

shabanga is built in Los Angeles by people who still go out, and who spent years running nights with tools that were clearly built by people who don’t.

Built here, for rooms like the ones we’re in

We’re in Los Angeles. We are not a platform that found nightlife on a slide about addressable markets. We’re at these shows, in these rooms, on the same weekends you are. When we get a feature wrong, we usually find out because we’re standing at the door watching it happen.

That’s the whole reason the product looks like this. A door that moves when there’s a line down the block. A guest list that survives someone’s phone dying. A bar that works when the room is loud and the wifi isn’t. None of that comes from a roadmap. It comes from having been the person holding the clipboard.

Support is never outsourced

When something goes sideways on a show night, you are not opening a ticket with a contract desk in another time zone working from a script that doesn’t mention your problem. There is no tier one. There is no queue you get escalated out of.

You reach people who know the industry. Not someone who learned the product from a wiki. Someone who has worked a door, chased a payout, and watched a card reader die at the worst possible moment. They know what you’re describing before you finish describing it.

That is not a growth-stage luxury we plan to quietly retire. It is the reason we open accounts by hand and onboard a few promoters at a time. Ten running well beats a thousand running badly, and we would rather stay small enough to pick up than get big enough to stop.

If you can’t get hold of us on a show night, nothing else we built matters.

Real people, same ambitions

We want what you want: rooms that fill, nights that run clean, and a scene that’s still here in five years. Not engagement. Not a funnel. A good night, run properly, that pays everybody who made it happen.

So we talk like people, we answer like people, and when we don’t know something we say so. You’ll never get a press release from us when a straight answer would do.

The founders

We’re ex-promoters. We spent years running nights on tools built for arenas, or for nobody in particular. Never for the room we were actually standing in. There was always a workaround: the door list on someone’s phone, the comps in a group chat, the bar taking cash because the card reader wouldn’t hold a signal.

So we know what a night needs, because we needed it. And we know how it feels to be the smallest customer of a company that will never know your name.

So: a finger up at the big ticketing companies, and everything we wished we’d had.

Tickets. The bar. The tools to get the job done.

All in one. The whole shabanga.
